A collection of three altar panels, each were carved from Kayu Jati hardwood. Circa 1970, Ive personally clean and polish them.

Traditional Altar / Indonesian Panels from Toraja, Nias and Kalimantan.

Left panel:
Height x width: 93 x 47 cm / 36.6 x 18.5 inches
Motif: Toraja sacrificial Buffalo. The Toraja, one of many islands in Indonesia, the buffalo remains an important sacrificial hewan to serve as prayers and to worship the dead Kings.

Center panel:
Height x width: 101 x 44 cm / 39.8 x 17.3 inches
Motif: Nias, also another island from Indonesia, where statues are a representation of kings and noble tribesman.

Right panel:
Height: 101 x 34 / 39.8 x 13.4 inches
Motif: Kalimantan, part of the Borneo Archipelago with rich Dayak culture, their human or deity patung/statue serves to remember and worship the dead(pagan), with dances of the Ngajat Gawai.

Average thickness for each panel: 2 cm / 0.8 inch
